A Family Home Built to Grow: New Build in Churchlands, Perth
After a year working with a building designer without success, our clients approached George Shi Architects for a fresh perspective. We began by understanding how the family wanted to live day-to-day, and how the home could support them well into the future as their needs change.
Designing for a Growing Family in Perth’s Western Suburbs
The brief was substantial: extra spaces for entertaining, a secondary lounge, a music room, studies, and a fully equipped pool house for a family of five. We worked within local planning requirements to fit the full brief onto the 818 sqm block without compromising landscaping, prioritising passive design principles for ventilation and solar orientation above all else.
Currently in Construction
This new build residential architecture project is under construction with Crown Build WA, with completion expected by the end of 2027.
