This project involved the renovation of a beautiful Federation-era home in Subiaco, Western Australia, for a young family of three, balancing heritage character with the practical needs of modern family life.
Reworking the Bathroom and Laundry for Everyday Living
The original bathroom and laundry were disconnected from one another, and early briefing revealed the family also needed a powder room for guests. We designed a laundry with generous storage, tucked discreetly away so the adjoining bathroom could function as intended. Facing east, the spaces lacked natural light in the afternoons — addressed with skylights above both the powder room and the shower.
